Philip Lewis Cornwell, a good friend and brother has gone to be with the Lord. I knew Pastor Philip July 15, 2008 at 7:39pm. On 30 July, 2008 Pastor Phil sent me a parcelĀ containing Bibles, calculators and pens.
Philip Lewis Cornwell, of Vineland, formerly of Bridgeton where he spent most of his life, left this temporary life on October 18, 2017 to begin eternal life with the Lord along with past family and friends. He was 68 years old.
His first visit to Nigeria was 8th, November to 15th, November 2008. View the photos below.
For almost 10 years, Philip traveled to numerous countries in Africa and Asia preaching the Gospel and assisting many congregations. The ministry built an orphanage and numerous churches. It also helped with food distribution and ministry transportation needs.
Philip is survived by his loyal and loving wife Margaret Ann Lopez-Cornwell, sister Linda Richardson (John), daughter Vicki Lynn Mourning (Dan), Tara Sheppard, Amy Loper (Tim) and Marcia Cornwell. Philip is also survived by several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and many close friends.
Philip will always be remembered as a very strong, kindhearted, generous, wonderful man of great faith who had a strong commitment to serving God. He will forever be missed and loved.
